PT Pro: The Best Health, Fitness & Food tips for women 50+
Welcome to my site. I’m a creative personal trainer with ideas and tips specifically aimed for women 50+. My posts give advice for good health, ways to improve fitness and smart food choices (like – do you know how long it takes crisps to turn into body fat?). Plus there are some feel good reflections that may be relevant to you.
My dad once had a blog and would start his posts with the phrase “and this is the God’s honest truth….”. He’s Irish. Which means this statement was usually followed by a tale so tall, so unbelievable, that it made you wonder if it just might actually be true. He wrote ghost stories thinly disguised as Irish folklore and I can confirm his musings didn’t contain a grain of truth. They were, nonetheless, highly entertaining.
I however have a responsibility and desire to be as objective and accurate as I possibly can. Delivered in a calm, practical way. I’ll share my knowledge on obtaining and maintaining good health, various fitness ideas and exercise guidance, constructive nutritional advice and stories of positive living at every age. A number of posts will provide light-bulb moments, some will seem ‘preaching to the choir’, whilst others perhaps more provocative. All subtly woven with a sense of humour.
I promise no posts with the latest deprivation diet, treating women over 50 as invisible or covert body and lifestyle shaming. And sorry, there won’t be 101 Olympian exercise routines you should be doing right now.
Instead indulge in the leg work I’ve put in to bring you information so you can make informative choices. With nuggets such as – how long it takes for the macronutrient fat to become bodyfat. Or read my ever-growing list of reasons why you should start rowing (at any age). Plus advice for when you’re grieving over the loss of a pet or moving on from a break up of a relationship.
So enjoy my outlook on life – and take what works for you. All of my posts are authentically written by me; I don’t use AI to generate my content.
And learning other people’s views is something I welcome, so please do leave a comment.
